Happy Birthday (almost) to Papa and Marin

Our yearly tradition of celebrating Papa and Marin's birthdays had to happen a week or so early this year since Papa and Grandma are moving to Texas :( Papa still says that Marin is the best gift he ever received. She is pretty great!! He is too. We have been trying not to think about how lonely we will be once they leave this week. Instead we have been focusing on all the fun we are having. Sunday dinner at our house was the last one with everyone for a while. We will continue having them, but without the grandparents most of the time. I know that they need to be in Texas and that all our fasting and prayers are being answered, but I am still very sad and we will miss them more than I can express.

We celebrated the birthdays of Avery, Papa and Marin all together. Amber made us huge pizzookies with ice cream to celebrate. YUM! Papa had also found a time capsule letter we made December of 1991 just before I went on my mission. We opened it together and read all the funny things we thought would happen by 2001. We were a little late (9 years) in reading it, but it was still great fun to read. We also decided to make another one when we are all together at Christmas.
