Summer Football in Arroyo
The last few years the Irvine football team has gone up to Arroyo Grande to be in a football tournament. Last year, Ryan and Justin went without the rest of us. This year we all got to go! The first night we met up with the Terry's and went to a drive-in movie! The kids had never been to one. We saw "Monster's University". We had fun swimming in the hotel pool and enjoyed the team meals. When the team was playing we spent part of the time playing and exploring the old town, and part of the time watching the games.
Justin and Nathan took turns being the QB. They worked hard and played pretty well.
The super yummy ice cream place was epic. We really wanted to stay there for hours :). We also celebrated Rylee's birthday and they sang to her and everything!
One evening we had a rocking beach party at Pismo Beach. You can actually drive your car right on the beach! We dug some pits and ate food, even made s'mores (my favorite beach thing to do). Here is the big team picture!
Happy pics with my kids.
Old Town was so cool. We spent hours eating, shopping in the antique stores and the candy store! There was even a street farmers market. We loved the old school house and museum. We were sad to leave when the weekend was over. We did have a "fun" adventure when we got a flat tire! We also had a great shopping trip tot he outlet stores in Oxnard on the way home. A fun mini family vacation!
