Wizard of Oz

So Amber came home one night in January and Grace asked where she had been.  She replied, "Wizard of Oz" auditions.  Grace instantly turned to me mad and asked why we didn't go!  I had to text the director and ask if she could still come on a different night and audition.  We showed up for callbacks and suddenly I was auditioning too.  In the end, Amber didn't even end up doing the show, but Grace and I played "Glinda the Good Witch" and her lovely assistant. A part I was born to play really :) It was kind of a funny show in that there were only two or three adults in the cast each night. So Grace stayed up in the adult dressing room with me and we played during the show each night.  It was not my favorite show at MTV since none of my friends were there, but I loved getting to spend so much time with Grace and play with her!

Lots of my little dancers that I teach came to see us.  That made the show even more fun!

The family came on the comedy of errors night..the house fell on Dorothy, set pieces broke, lines were dropped, snow fell in a weird spot and the kid playing Toto actually bit the Wicked Witch and drew blood.  So much went wrong we had to laugh!

This is my favorite picture of the whole thing! Mrs. Teeter was there one dress rehearsal taking photos of the cast and this one is priceless!

Grace did have two shows more than I did, so she is in this cast photo without me- Jen Mig was Glinda that night.

Nana and Granddad were able to come see her too!
