Saying Goodbye

We stopped at Stonegate before we left to go to Utah so that Justin could say goodbye to 2 of his favorite teachers.  He has grown a foot or more it seems since he had Mr Norris for 5th grade and Miss Hager for 6th.  How blessed he has been to have teachers who love him so much and expected a lot from him.

Justin and I left Wednesday afternoon and had to go see Dr. G first for a physical.  We finally got on the road at 4:15 pm! What an adventure awaited us! We started leaking some sort of fluid as we drove up the El Cajon pass.  In the end, we pulled over, called AAA, waited for a tow truck for 1 1/2 hours, ate Doritos in the car as the sun went down, got towed to Fontana by a friendly Egyptian man, took a cab to a hotel and spent the night. A few hundred dollars later we finally headed toward Utah again about 11:30 the next day.  We were so glad when we finally made it to Nana and Granddad's house that night!
