Last day of Summer and First day of School

So for our last hooray the Halls came over to swim and we had one last summer vacation day a day or two after Labor Day. Here is most of the gang eating popsicles (minus Amber).

Gracie's 1st day was actually the day before everyone else started school. She is going to Robin's Nest preschool this year on Mondays and Wednesdays. She was so excited for her first day. She went right in and didn't even care that I left. I actually don't even usually get a hug or kiss good-bye! She loves school and in 3 short weeks has already memorized 3 nursery rhymes and can write her name. She loves to write things and practices writing letters everyday on her own. I love these poses before we headed off to school that first day!

Not sure why this pic is so blue, but here is Marin, Ben Swanson, Ben Miller and Max Swanson in front of the school on the first day. I forgot to take pics of Amber and Justin. Marin has a new teacher to our school, Mrs. Brubaker for 5th grade. She is really nice and a bunch of Marin's friends are in her class as well. Ben has Mrs. Wieske for 3rd grade. Most of his closest friends ended up in different classes, but he likes Mrs. Wieske and is doing well.

Amber came out of school the first day and said, "This day could not get better." A little different than the first day of school as a freshman! Justin mostly grunts and says stuff like, "It's good." Here we go again- back to school!
