Last week Justin went to Outdoor Ed with the 6th grade. They had a great time up in the mountains around Big Bear hiking, learning about nature, looking at stars, and more. The funniest part of the whole thing is that the morning they left he was wearing long sleeves and jeans. Students, parents and the teachers kept commenting about it. "Justin, you're wearing jeans?" The only time anyone has ever seen him in pants is when he wears church pants for a concert or to mc the talent show. It is so unusual that I had to take a picture!
This is Justin and one of his best buddies, Weston waiting to go on the buses. They were cabin mates and spent most of the camp together. The gross part of all this is that when I picked up Justin 5 days later he was wearing the exact same thing! He wore the same clothes the entire week (he did change his socks apparently). I was so happy to see him. I gave him and hug and promptly told him he stunk! I made him shower right away when we got home. He had showered up there, but then put back on the same dirty clothes! YUCK. I missed him tons and I am so glad he is back. The house was way too quiet last week. I love that he wanted to snuggle with me on the couch Friday night. Yeah for fun adventures and for still loving mom.
Today was our Easter egg hunt with our church friends. These 3 girls were born within a few months of each other. Have you ever seen so much white/blond hair in one place? Grace loved the hunt, but I think she actually liked playing at the park with kids her age better. She picked up eggs and after when I asked if she wanted to open them she said "inside?" like "You mean there's more than just eggs?" She downed all the M&Ms right away and saved most of the rest for later. Must be her mother's daughter. It was so cute!
