The Adventures of Rico!
Opening Day for baseball was Saturday. Rico's t-ball team was ADORABLE!!!!! I haven't laughed that hard in ages. There is one boy who must weigh less than the bat does, one who has no idea which base to run toward next, and on and on. It was so cute. Ben had a hit, ran the bases and slid into home. I was cheering for him when he got up and he looked at me as he was running to the dug-out and gave me a thumbs up and a wink! He is so excited to play and have people watch him for a change that he can hardly sleep! It is so fun to watch him play and to see the sheer delight on his face. This morning my 4 year old says, "Mom, I need a new bike- one without training wheels. I know how to ride a two-wheeler." He continues by telling me that he learned the other day at Max's house and that he taught himself. Ok- whatever...so I take the training wheels off his bike and he jumps on and rides down the driveway!! I held the seat the first 2 times while he got on and that was it! I guess when you are one of 5 you have to teach yourself stuff or you'll never learn how. I was stunned- in minutes he was riding better than Marin does!
So on Friday, his preschool teacher says that she had to have a talk with Ben because he was talking about boobs! He had done it once before and she had spoken to him, but since he did it a second time she thought I should know. He has been obsessed with body parts lately- my nursing probably doesn't help. On the way home from school I asked him about it and he told me that he wasn't supposed to talk about it in school because it is "inappropriate". When I asked him what that meant he said, "it means you can't say any gross words." At least he is not trying to "James Bond kiss" the girls like his Uncle Daniel!

Go Rico! Very impressive with the bike. Brooklynn is not quite brave enough to try yet, but it won't be long!
Nice job Ben. I just can't get out of my head his sad little 2 and 3 year old with a ball and a glove self getting left behind every time Justin and Ryan headed out to practice so I'm very happy for him that its finally his turn! Nice job on the bike too!
So Funny!! I love Ben!
GO WEEKO! (get the spelling right next time, Nic)
