Halloween 2013
We spent this Halloween with the Howard family.  It seems like we don't really have any major traditions for Halloween besides carving pumpkins and going trick or treating.  We go to different neighborhoods with different families almost every year.  We did go to the Stake trunk or treat as well this year so the pictures are from both events!

We made Batman, happy faces, IHS at home. The girls got to paint pumpkins a few days earlier at the IHS Haunted Maze as well. They didn't actually ever go in the maze because it was too scary for Paige Mortensen and Grace :).

Halloween fell on a Thursday which meant we needed to feed the offensive line that night as well.  I had planned a huge dinner with pulled pork sandwiches.  I got it all ready except for the meat which Ryan needed to pull apart.  While we were trick or treating, Ryan called me and said that the meat wasn't cooked! I had put way too much in the crock pots and it had not cooked all the way through in time for the boys to eat.  I called Northwood Pizza and ordered pizzas.  Ryan fed the boys all the side dishes and dessert while he went and picked up pizzas.  It wasn't the great dinner I had planned but, they got fed, had brownies (their favorite thing) and we won the next night, so it all worked out.

While the crazy dinner was going on we went with the Howards over to Woodbury and met up with more friends there to trick or treat.  It was a funny neighborhood because one street would be packed with people, decorations and candy and the very next street had almost no one home.  After we went all the way around the park perimeter, we decided to head home.  We stopped at Howards' and trick or treated with just the two families.  We went up and down the streets between our homes and then headed back to our house. It was a fun night!

I included a picture of Homecoming as well since it was a costume dance.  The kids were all supposed to be super heros.  Princess Amber looked great as Cat Woman, but the night did not turn out as she hoped.  Justin and a bunch of his friends decided to come over to our house and play games and eat pizza instead of going to the dance.
