A Day in the Life

Last Saturday was one of the busiest days I can remember in a long time.  I actually fretted about it for much of the week and finally asked people for help.  I got someone to cover for me for one thing and another person to help cover for me for the beginning of when I was supposed to help somewhere else. Justin's team had beat Laguna Hills the night before, so their "reward" was no football practice/ meetings on Saturday, so normally he would have been at the high school from 10-2 as well. Because of the game really this day seemed to start the night before at 6pm, but I will include that post separately so I can put all the pics in :) Even with help, here is how the day went..

Ryan left at about 7:00 am for football meetings
8:00 am- soccer pictures for Ben followed by a game at 9:30
Marin had her first volleyball games starting at 10:00am. She played well given that she has just started learning.  The games really ended up being scrimmages but it was fun to watch her.  We picked up Ben from the high school football offices afterward and headed to Swansons to say goodbye while they packed the moving truck headed to Austin.

Amber headed to MTV at noon to be in the chorus for "Fiddler on the Roof".  I took Grace for soccer pictures at 1:15pm and then found her a ride to her game because I had to race to the theater since I was  working as stage crew for the matinee at 2:00pm.  Ryan had his last coaches meeting of the day at 1:30.  Then he headed to Grace's soccer game to watch her play at 3:00.

I drove a girl from the show to the train station, got some groceries and flowers for Amber and came home in time to watch the end of the General RS Broadcast. We had a quick dinner before we all headed to MTV to see Amber in her closing night of "Fiddler".  She was amazing!  It was a great show with a super cast and a really involved audience.  Grace burst into tears when Tevya disowned Hava.  She cried through most of the ending. It was so sweet to see how into it she was and that the thought of a family being torn apart was the worst thing in the world to her.  We took pictures with lots of friends who came after the show. I also took some pictures of the cast during intermission.

Papa Ray Kerek and Amber
Alex, Amber, Kayleigh, Brandon, Dani and "Waffles"
One big happy family! (the above mentioned sisters plus Mama Denise, and little sisters Sklyer and McKenna)

Finally getting home around 11pm I tried to stay up and watch the rest of the Broadcast while I waited for Amber to come home from dinner with the cast, but kept falling asleep. I finally went to bed about midnight and Amber woke me at 12:30 to say goodnight.  What a day! I love that my children are so talented and that we have so many opportunities to do so much, but does it all have to be on the same day?
