BABY UPDATE- 14 weeks

Since I seem too busy running in a thousand directions to call everybody- I'll post the baby update. I went to the doctor again this week. My original due date was Dec 10th. After my first official appointment and an ultrasound it was Dec 6th. I had another ultrasound this time to see if we could get a good date and it came up Dec 2nd. So truly none of these ultrasounds have really helped anything! I did see and hear the baby's heartbeat and watched as the tech, in frustraion, tried to get the baby to stop moving so that she could get a good measurement. I finally told her that I had been dancing all day, so maybe the baby didn't know that classes were over! :)

In any case, I'm still in quite a quandry about if we should find out or not. I have the big ultrasound scheduled for the week after we get back from Canada. The kids want to know for sure. I kind of want to know so that I can figure out the bedroom situation- we will probably be moving people around and switching rooms- which requires new paint, etc. That would be easier done before the baby gets here and I am completely sleep deprived. Having said that, it breaks tradition, and I really don't want everyone else to know- just me- and maybe Ryan. So what do you all think?

I am feeling slightly better the last two days- no throwing up and I'm not quite so tired. Ryan would disagree, but he thinks I should be up to 11 pm every night with him. I atleast made it to 10! So that's what happening in my neck of the woods....

I know you guys love not to know, and I am all for it! But at the same time it is fun to know and have a plan of attack. I'm on the fence, but if you do find out just promise you won't pick a name until the baby actually comes. I just think that is so strange - to pick a name for someone you have never even met.

You suck getting your due date moved up and all! Mine is always getting pushed back. :( As you know we have done the whole "to know or not know" thing both ways and I must say it is super fun both ways! But, with that said, I was very anxious to figure our room situation out alas, knowing the sex of this baby made that so much easier. The baby's room is painted, our new crib is set up and I'm just in the process of purchasing the bedding and accessories. It will be so nice to have it all done in time for baby girl to arrive. The only thing is...what if it ends up a boy? Then I guess he'll be sleeping in a girls room! Anyways, I guess bottom line is that as fun as it is to be surprised, its nice to be in control and have everything ready before hand.

I'm with you on the not finding out...usually! I think if it were me (which it is NOT), that I would want to know. The room situation is certainly a concern and with the busy, crazy schedule you already have, just think how much crazier it will be with one more kid AND trying to deal with room situation. My vote is you find out AND tell all of us but just don't start calling it by a name before it comes out! (ie/ signing Christmas Cards "Love, Ryan, Nicole, Amber, Justin, Marin, Ben and Joe Joe". Totally LAME! Anyway, I think you should find out! Love Ya!

Just for the record- I refuse to name a baby before I have seen it- so I am totally with all of you on that!
